We are learning to rightly divide the Word of truth. Bible study normally starts with a doctrine or concept with the “study” focused on confirming the doctrine. Religious seminaries teach only the verses that confirm their particular list of doctrines. </p> <p>Searching the Bible to confirm what we think we know only compounds our problem. As we learn to “rightly divide” our preconceived religious notions fall by the wayside and are replaced by the truth. “Christ in you” replaces the nefarious and elusive anointings that many hawk like a vendors at a flea market. I use the word “hawk” specifically. To “hawk” is used to describe the actions of a person who preys on others, aggressively sells by calling out, or to clear one’s throat and hawk up an uh-oh. All of those definitions are descriptive of the spew that rains forth over God’s people. </p> <p>We tend to use “proof texts” to defend our thoughts and beliefs. But if we are not manifesting the blessings of God in our life and if we are not seeing our prayers answered then perhaps we should find out why. God is not the problem. God has already given us all spiritual blessings in Christ. The problem is us. We have not rightly divided the Word of Truth.</p> <p>What we think and believe is the problem. We are where we are and what we are because of our past believing. We will be tomorrow wherever our believing leads us. Gal 6:7 says “whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” From moment to moment we choose to walk after the flesh or after the spirit. In each situation we either rightly divide the Word of God or we don’t. </p> <p>Ephesians 1:3 declares that God has given us ALL spiritual blessings in Christ. If we have Christ in us we have ALL spiritual blessings. We need not seek for them because they are already ours. We wander through this diseased and dieing world not realizing that we possess the cure. </p> <p>Christ is the cure. Christ is our all in all.<br /> We have Christ in us, the only hope of glory. </p> <p>Neil </p>
